WordPress Fixes & Troubleshooting

Projects, big or small, can run into problems. What you need is a developer who’s an expert in the field!

A significant part of my work involves helping people who have issues with their WordPress sites.

Here are the most common WordPress fixes and troubleshooting tasks I perform:

  • Post-update issues: Sometimes, after WordPress updates, certain parts of your site might stop functioning.
  • Plugin update problems: Plugin updates can sometimes lead to conflicts with other plugins or themes.
  • Theme adjustments: Small changes and tweaks to CSS or functionality within WordPress themes.
  • Post-hack recovery: If your WordPress site has been hacked, I can get it back up and running.
  • Instant design changes: Simple changes in page layouts, UX improvements, and design tweaks.
  • Installations and upgrades: Bringing your WordPress site up to date completely.
  • Site migration: Moving your WordPress site to a new hosting provider.
  • Domain and DNS fixes: Resolving DNS issues and ensuring your records are correctly configured.
  • Backups: Regular backups of your site to ensure you can recover your data in case of an issue.

How do you fix WordPress problems?

You give me your login details, and I take care of the rest.

There are a few details to keep in mind, like:

  • Making sure your site has been backed up recently
  • Checking if you have access to the server, just in case
  • Ensuring access to DNS settings if needed, and more…

Not sure what all of that means? No problem—I can still help you.

Avoiding unnecessary complications.

Diagnosing WordPress issues can sometimes be tricky, which naturally takes time.

To avoid wasting time and money while fixing or troubleshooting WordPress sites, I follow a straightforward strategy: I identify the root cause of the problem as quickly as possible and then fix it step by step.

Having repaired hundreds of WordPress sites, I have significant experience in identifying common issues and fixing them quickly, minimizing costs and downtime.

To avoid getting stuck in lengthy troubleshooting sessions, I start with a 30-minute prepaid session to tackle the issue. If the problem is more complex, I can usually determine that within the first 15 minutes, but I won’t exceed the initial time without prior approval.

My minimum fee for any minor fix is $100.

Is the problem urgent, or can it wait?

Websites are like live broadcasts: when something goes wrong, everyone watching notices immediately.

That’s why many WordPress fixes need to be made right away, which might come at an additional cost.

I’m almost always working on something else, so if you need an urgent fix, I’ll have to pause what I’m doing to resolve your issue.

To manage fixes efficiently and cost-effectively, I categorize them as follows:

  • Site outage: Clearly critical, needs to be fixed today.
  • Non-functioning minor features: Important, should be fixed within 24 hours.
  • Design changes, template tweaks, etc.: Less critical, can be scheduled.
  • Other issues: Least critical, can be planned appropriately.

This approach is important because it impacts time, turnaround, and fees, so determining the urgency of the issue upfront is key.

Solving WordPress problems.

WordPress issues often go beyond just the setup.

There may be related problems to consider, such as:

  • Hosting issues
  • DNS and domain name problems
  • Email deliverability issues

That’s the general overview of WordPress problems and how I work.
