WordPress 6.5 Regina is Released!
Although with a slight delay, WordPress 6.5 Regina was published with the contributions of 700 participants from 57 countries. Many changes have been made in this version. One of the most important features is the font library and font selection. Thanks to this feature, you can make font family and font edits in the block editor. Another important feature is the AVIF support that comes with 6.5. Although Google has not yet announced its support for this image format, WordPress is already ready for this feature.

WordPress Block Bindings API
One of the important features that comes with WordPress 6.5 is the Block Bindings feature, which we can translate into Turkish as “Block Binding”. WordPress.org Renewed
WordPress.org, which has been online with the same design for a long time, has renewed its design. Unfortunately, the website where the full “showcase” of WordPress is made has not been updated for Turkish yet. I think the translation will be finished in a short time.
WooCommerce 8.8 Delayed
WooCommerce 8.8, which was planned to be released simultaneously with WordPress 6.5, has been postponed. Here, as stated in the statement, the change in the Google algorithm caused this delay. This update is planned to be available on April 10, 2024.
Hostinger Added to Official WordPress Hosting List
As you know, WordPress lists the hosting companies it approves on its website. Only Bluehost and Dreamhost were on this list. In addition to these companies, Hostinger company was also included. You can access the current list here
Maxiblocks Announces New Icon Pack
Although I do not like pagebuilders and do not recommend them, one of the important alternatives to Elementor or WP Bakery is MaxiBlocks. Last week, it announced its icon package consisting of approximately 14 thousand SVG icons that can be used for free. You can find the details here

New Local Environment Solution from WordPress WordPress Studio
In recent years, we have been using intermediary programs such as XAMPP and WAMP server for our projects that we run locally. Then Local WP came out and saved us from a lot of trouble. Now WordPress has announced WordPress Studio, with which you can create your own local working environment. Even though it is still under construction, I believe they will do a very good job.
