Artificial Intelligence powered WordPress Big Sky
In this process where artificial intelligence is starting to enter many areas of our lives, WordPress is preparing to take its place in this field. According to the announcement made last week and the link opened on the site https://wordpress.com/BigSky/, we will be able to create websites by entering commands similar to giving commands to artificial intelligence. I made the necessary registration for early access here. When the response comes, I will share the usage with you in another blog content. According to the announced features, it includes the creation of basic page templates, block layout and pattern combinations, which we call patterns.

It is enough for the beginning, but as in many points, expecting everything from artificial intelligence may result in disappointment here too. I am not against artificial intelligence, in fact I think it is a turning point as important as the internet in the modern world, but I see that an approach that will completely disable humans is an inappropriate and too dreamy idea.
WooCommerce 8.9 Comes with Major Changes
WooCommerce, which has become one of the most important e-commerce platforms worldwide, will be online on May 14, 2024 with its new version. In the past weeks, the beta version released WooCommerce 8.9 comes with a major innovation, especially in custom fields.
With the old editor, we could create product-specific additional fields either with the codes we added to the function file or with plug-ins such as ACF. With the WooCommerce 8.9 update to be released, we will be able to add new custom fields on a product basis with the Gutenberg editor and block structure. I think it is an important development for the end user who does not know how to code.
Similarly, adding new fields to the cart and payment pages required a series of transactions or plug-in support as I explained above. We will be able to add extra fields that we can add to product details to the Cart and Payment pages. This can make a lot of plugins pointless. For example, WooCommerce T.C., which I plan to publish soon. With the new update, you will be able to make the additions made by the Identity Number and Tax Number plugin with the Gutenberg editor. I still think that, just like electric cars, it will take at least 3 years for the Gutenberg editor to replace its normal themes. Therefore, there is no need to worry 🙂
Tracking of order statistics is also integrated with WooCommerce version 8.9. After the feature is turned on, you can choose which channel, tracking code, etc. each order will be placed through. We will be able to see that it comes with parameters on the same screen.

Massive Vulnerability in REHub Theme and Its Connected Plugins!
Last week, a major vulnerability was detected in the REHub theme and its affiliated plugins. This vulnerability was closed with the subsequent update. If you use this theme or its related plugins on your sites, be sure to update it. We see once again the importance of using original themes and plugins, which I underline at every opportunity. Even original themes can have security vulnerabilities, and by using copy (warez) plugins or themes, you leave the key to your site at the door.
