WordPress Plugin Directory Appearance Changed

Jetpack Removed Statistics, Creating Confusion
Although I do not prefer or recommend it myself, Jetpack, one of the most important performance optimization plugins for WordPress, has a large user base. With the last update, they added the feature they previously offered for free, which includes basic statistics of your site, to the paid version. Afterwards, many users bombarded Jetpack with comments and gave almost 50% of them 1 star in a short time. Almost all the reactions are about this move. Of course, giving a feature for free and then turning it into a paid one is a big marketing mistake, and Jetpack has gained this experience that many brands and systems have had before.
Custom Content Type Comes to WordPress Core
As you know, custom content types are one of the most important points of developing a Custom WordPress Theme. For example, when creating an advertisement site, creating an “Advertisement” content type will allow you to create a url such as yoursitename.com/advertisement/opel-corsa-2019. It allows you to create different views in both archive and content details with its numerous parsers. To do this, you either had to define custom content types in your theme’s functions.php file or use an additional plugin (for example, ACF Advanced Custom Fields). According to the content announced by Daniel Bachhuber, one of the WordPress developer team, and whose details you can find here, it is stated that this process can be added to the core feature of WordPress, so that content types can be created without the need to use an additional plugin or code. Again, I think this is an issue that is too late.
Testing Text Duplication
The issue of content copying, which I think is a late WordPress feature and for which we have so far provided solutions with plugins, is on the agenda of WordPress developers. This feature, which is being tested on Github, is being tested to bring the ability to copy content to the Gutenberg editor. In addition to this feature, I think the Menu Duplication process, which saves us time due to its operation, should also be included in the core.
A Cleaner WordPress is Possible!
Joost De Valk, the creator of Yoast SEO, one of the most important SEO plugins, has prepared a new plugin. With this plugin, you can change many settings in the Option (settings) table with WordPress installation, which are turned on by default. Especially sites that use a large number of plugins may become inoperable after a certain period of time due to the large number of parameters added by these plugins to the Option table. You can access the details of the plugin here. Let me warn you right away, this plugin is not for a normal WordPress user! If you do it without knowing what you are doing, a line you can close or remove may cause your site to become unusable.
WordPress Studio is Released for Mac
